A few suggestions on how to dig in:
Are there any words you didn't understand? Did they distract you from feeling the poem? Did Googling them dramatically change things for you?
Is the poem too vague? (This is a big issue with me.) Are there so many pronouns that it's hard to understand what's going on? Was there anything in particular you wanted to hear more about?
Is there anything extra that you think the poem doesn't need? Something I should cut, or save for a separate poem?
Let's get abstract. How does the poem sound? (alliteration, smooth sounds vs. harsh ones) Do the sounds fit the mood?
How does the poem read? Line breaks are intended to be mental pauses, commas breath pauses, and periods full stops. Are the breaks awkward? Do they create the right pacing?The more critical comments I get, the better we can make this stuff.
